Summer's hot and humid weather promotes bacterial growth, making cat food prone to spoilage. Here are a few things to keep in mind when feeding your cat in the summer:
First and foremost, the food you feed your cat must be fresh. Whether it's cooked food or canned cat food, put it in the cat's bowl and make sure the cat finishes it. Never leave food out for a while before feeding it to your cat, because in hot weather, food can be contaminated with bacteria in a very short time, and your cat will get an upset stomach. 
Secondly, it's important to control the amount of cat food given. Hot weather makes people uncomfortable, and naturally, it affects a cat's appetite as well. Therefore, don't force-feed your cat in the summer; it's best to feed them smaller, more frequent meals, allowing them to eat in shorter intervals.
Also, leftover food from your cat must be thrown away. After each meal, make sure to discard any uneaten food and thoroughly clean its food bowl to prevent bacterial growth. Don't leave the food bowl unattended for your cat to eat from; this can easily upset its stomach!
Finally, it's important to change your cat's food and water frequently. Similarly, cats' food and water are more prone to spoilage in summer, so frequent changes are essential.
