Cats should not be bathed in the following situations:
1. Do not bathe a new cat that has just arrived home, as this may cause stress. It is best to wait until the cat has adapted to its new environment before bathing it. In the meantime, you can feed the cat some probiotics to improve its immunity.
2. Do not bathe your cat when it is unwell or sick, as this may cause it to catch a cold and worsen its condition.
3. Do not bathe kittens that have just been weaned. They have only recently separated from their mother and their immune system is weak, making them susceptible to illness. It is advisable to bathe them two months after weaning.
4. Cats under 6 months old should not be bathed frequently, as they are prone to illness.
5. Do not bathe your cat within two weeks after vaccination, as the cat may experience local or systemic reactions after vaccination, and bathing may trigger other illnesses.
6. Cats that have just undergone external parasite treatment should not be bathed frequently. Bathing will reduce the natural oils on the cat's skin, which may affect the effectiveness of the medication.
7. Do not bathe your cat when she is in heat. Cats in heat become restless and their immune system weakens. Since cats are already suffering from the discomfort of heat, bathing them at this time will only worsen their condition.
8. Don't bathe your cat immediately after it has exercised at home. At this time, the cat's blood is still concentrated in its limbs and muscles, and bathing it hastily can harm its health. Owners should wait until the cat has calmed down for half an hour before giving it a warm bath.
9. Do not bathe your cat immediately after mating, as their condition is extremely unstable at this time. Bathing them then may cause inflammation. It is recommended to wait a week before bathing them.
