Ham is not suitable for cats. It's difficult for cats to digest, easily leading to indigestion and other problems. Ham is also high in salt, while cats require very little salt daily; excessive consumption can easily cause kidney damage. It's recommended that cat owners feed their cats commercial cat food to ensure they receive the necessary nutrients. 
The dangers of feeding pet cats ham and other cured meats:
1. Pickled foods contain a lot of salt. If cats consume too much salt, their organs cannot digest these overly salty foods. Excessive intake can cause metabolic disorders in cats, making them prone to hair loss and mange.
2. Cats do not have sweat glands on their skin, and the salt in their bodies must be excreted through the kidneys. If they eat too much salt, it will increase the burden on their kidneys and lead to kidney failure.
3. Excessive salt intake that a cat cannot excrete properly can lead to dry, dull hair and hair loss.
4. Increased fecal discharge in the cat's eyes, obvious tear stains, and even red, swollen, or blind eyes.
5. It can cause serious oral problems in cats, such as bad breath, indigestion, and severe picky eating.
