Normally, kittens should be at least two months old before they can receive vaccinations.
The main vaccines needed are the rabies vaccine and the feline triple vaccine. The rabies vaccine is primarily for preventing rabies, and it is usually administered when the kitten is three months old. The feline triple vaccine is to prevent feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus.
You can start the vaccination around two months old. The interval between each shot should be about one month. After completing the triple vaccine, you can get the rabies vaccine a week later. Starting in the second year, you only need to give one of each of these two vaccines annually. However, it's important to note that there must be at least an 11-month interval between the second and first year's vaccines. When vaccinating your cat, it's best to record the dates to avoid errors.
