When cleaning a cat's ears, the cat feels uncomfortable because there is liquid in its ears, so it reflexively shakes its head, which can actually shake out large pieces of dirt from its ears.
Besides specialized ear cleaning solutions, we do not recommend using other liquids, such as alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, for ear cleaning because they are highly irritating.
Ear cleaning steps:
1. Gently lift the cat's ears from behind to check them.
2. Pour in an appropriate amount of ear cleaning solution.
3. Pinch the cat's ears to prevent it from shaking its head, and quickly knead the base of the ears a few times.
4. Let go and allow the cat to shake its head freely.
5. Use a paper towel or cotton ball to wipe the cat's wet fur and clean the dirt inside the outer ear.
6. Apply some Miaoxiang ear cleaning solution to a tissue or cotton ball and clean the outer ear.
7. Wash the same ear repeatedly several times until there is no large amount of dirt left.
8. Repeat the above steps for the other ear.
If the cat resists, you can wrap its body in clothing, leaving only its head exposed, to control its movements.
