Cat owners can frequently call their cat's name. For example, call the cat's name while holding food before each feeding, or call its name while petting or playing with it.



Over time, the cat will develop a conditioned reflex and will know that when its owner calls its name, they are calling it. In this way, it will understand and remember that this is its name.
