Can cats drink human yogurt?
Cats can drink yogurt.
Yogurt is mainly made from milk and probiotics through fermentation, and eating yogurt is good for a cat's gut.
When choosing yogurt, try to choose plain yogurt. It is not recommended to give your cat flavored yogurt or yogurt with added tropical fruits and nuts. Fruits and nuts may not be able to digest them, which will increase the burden on the cat's gastrointestinal tract and lead to food allergies or food intolerances.
It is not recommended to feed yogurt to kittens under two months old, because their intestines are not fully developed and they are in the process of transitioning from breast milk to independent feeding. Feeding them yogurt at this time can easily cause diarrhea.
When cats are trying yogurt for the first time, start with small amounts and gradually increase the quantity. Do not give them more than two cups of yogurt a day.
