1. Poor flavor. Cat meat has a sour taste, and no matter what cooking method is used, the sour taste cannot be removed; 
2. Health issues. Because cats have historically fed on mice and have a varied diet, they have a high chance of contracting parasites. Even when cat meat is thoroughly cooked, it is difficult to kill parasites such as lung flukes and toxoplasmosis that may be present in the meat. Therefore, for health reasons, cat meat should not be eaten.
3. Cultural reasons. Cats are said to have nine lives in folklore and are considered to be very spiritual animals, so eating cat meat is not encouraged.
