Why do cats like to lick plastic bags?
Curiosity: Some cats like to lick plastic bags, possibly because they see them as toys. They may lick the bags to relieve boredom. Hunger: If there are food scraps left in the plastic bag, the cat may lick it when it is hungry. Hairballs: If a cat licks plastic bags for a long time, it may have hairballs. Hairball remedy can be given to alleviate the symptoms. 
1. Curiosity
Some cats like to touch plastic bags, possibly because they see them as toys. The plastic bags make a crisp sound, and cats find it very interesting to touch or tear them, especially when they are bored.
2. Feeling hungry
Cats often lick plastic bags that have contained food because the bags often have food scraps inside. When cats are hungry, they will lick the plastic bags to satisfy their cravings, especially bags that have contained cat food or small fish and shrimp.
3. Hairballs
If your cat is constantly licking plastic bags, it may be exhibiting pica, a condition known as hairballs. If this is diagnosed, you can give it hairball remedy to help it expel the accumulated hair. During shedding season, you should also brush its fur more frequently, for 15 minutes daily, to effectively reduce shedding.
