Currently, most high-rise buildings only install security grilles at the main entrance, leaving only glass windows, and some balconies are not enclosed. Therefore, we strongly recommend:
Install fine wire mesh on the security bars of the door and on the glass windows. If the balcony can be enclosed, do so, and also use fine wire mesh on the enclosed windows. If the balcony cannot be enclosed, install fine wire mesh on the balcony railing. I bought that kind of wire mesh from a hardware store; it was very cheap, only 5 yuan per meter. Then, I used fine wire to attach the wire mesh to the balcony railing and secured it. Just tie a wire to each side to hold it in place. It only took less than ten minutes to do. The mesh is very thin and fine, so it doesn't affect the appearance or ventilation at all, and I no longer have to worry about my cat!
