Catnip, originally called catnip, is an herbaceous plant with a strong aroma that can repel mosquitoes and insects. However, its most prominent effect is that it can drive cats crazy, so many cat owners jokingly refer to it as "cat drugs." Many videos circulating online show cats that usually appear aloof and docile after encountering catnip, seemingly "taking drugs."
Although it's called "cat poison," its effects are short-lived and not addictive. About two-thirds of cats are sensitive to the scent of catnip, making it a great way to please them. You can choose catnip toys for your cat, such as small cloth bags filled with catnip, scratching posts, and toy mice. You can also buy seeds and grow your own so your cat can enjoy fresh catnip. Not only does catnip make cats happy, it can also induce hairballs. 
However, after purchasing catnip toys, there are a few things to keep in mind when using them:
First, don't let your cat be exposed to catnip for extended periods. If used too frequently, it loses its effectiveness, and your cat will no longer show excitement. Use it less than once a week. Also, don't leave catnip toys hanging in the room for long periods; store them in a sealed container.
If you have multiple cats at home, please use catnip separately for each cat. Cats react differently to catnip; some may become unusually excited. If multiple cats are together, there may be fighting, so it's best not to use catnip on multiple cats at once.
Do not give too much at once; a small pinch, about the size of your thumbnail, is sufficient. Too much may cause breathing difficulties in some cats.
