Birman cats are a type of long-haired cat that are very clean. Owners should pay attention to helping their cats with grooming, and their cats will love them even more.
I. Hair care for Birman cats
1. We need to brush the Birman cat's fur every day, especially during shedding season, at least twice a day.
2. Perform a thorough grooming on your cat's fur once a week using a fur cleaner.
3. If you are grooming it using the methods described above, you can reduce the frequency of bathing. Generally, twice a month in summer and once a month in winter. Occasionally using conditioner is fine. Note: Use warm water for bathing; use cat-specific shampoo; and dry its fur as quickly as possible after bathing.
II. Eye and Ear Care
1. Regularly check and clean your Birman cat's eyes, and administer antibiotic eye drops periodically. It is best to do this after grooming and bathing.
2. Clean its ears during weekly grooming by directly dripping ear cleaner into the cat's ears.
