1. After bringing your Exotic Shorthair puppy home, immediately place it in the prepared litter box to let it smell the scent; then take it to its food and water bowls, and finally put it in its cat bed to rest. Exotic Shorthair puppies generally won't hide under the bed or sofa out of fear; they will walk around your home, sniffing here and there—this is them getting used to their new environment. Don't interfere too much with its freedom of movement; allowing it to familiarize itself with its surroundings as much as possible will greatly help it integrate into the family quickly.
2. Exotic Shorthair babies' vision will gradually mature after three months. Please turn on a table lamp or wall lamp for babies under three months old at night to prevent them from urinating or defecating in bed because they cannot find the toilet.
3. It's best to ask the Exotic Shorthair kitten's previous owner for the bedding from its old bed and use it to line the new cat bed. This will greatly reduce its discomfort and help you quickly build a bond with it.
4. Find out what brand of cat food it eats daily, how many meals a day, and the portion sizes, etc. In the first day or two after arriving home, although your Exotic Shorthair puppy is very adaptable, its mood may be unstable due to the change in environment. Therefore, it's best to feed it the same cat food it's been eating. If you want to switch your Exotic Shorthair puppy to a new cat food, you can gradually complete this change over 1-2 weeks. First, mix a small amount of the new cat food into its original cat food, and slowly increase the amount of the new cat food to allow it to gradually adapt to your food formula, preventing indigestion caused by a sudden change in food.
