How cold can a cat tolerate in winter, and when should it be kept warm?
1. A cat's cold tolerance varies by breed. Some cats that originally live in cold regions, such as Norwegian Forest Cats and Ragdolls, can adapt to indoor temperatures ranging from -20 to 40 degrees Celsius.
2. Kittens can survive in an environment of 15 to 16 degrees Celsius, but below this temperature, warming measures need to be taken to prevent frostbite or even death.
3. Adult cats should also be kept warm when the temperature drops below 10 degrees Celsius. 
4. Cats are highly adaptable; some breeds can even survive in the Arctic and Antarctic, indicating that they can adapt to environments ranging from -20 to -40 degrees Celsius.
5. The ideal temperature for kittens is 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. Below this temperature, they may experience symptoms such as sneezing and shivering, or even freeze to death.
6. Winter warmth measures include placing the cat's bed in a sheltered location and adding sufficient warm padding and blankets. If the temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius, you can use an air conditioner or a small electric heater, but the temperature should be set to the lowest setting to avoid burning the cat.
7. In cold weather, cats should be fed warm food to avoid indigestion. Also, cats need more food in winter to store energy and resist the cold, so they should be fed more protein-rich foods.
