Can cats be kept outdoors in winter?
1. Cats are not suitable to be kept outdoors in winter. Unlike dogs, cats are indoor animals and are very sensitive to changes in their environment. The outdoor environment in winter may cause them to panic; in addition, they may feel nervous about strangers and even show aggression.
2. Keeping cats outdoors in winter may lead to them getting lost or injured. Due to their active nature, cats may run away or accidentally get injured in unfamiliar environments. 
3. Keeping cats outdoors in winter can lead to frostbite. Kittens may freeze to death when temperatures drop below 15 degrees Celsius, and adult cats may also freeze to death at temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius. Even if they don't freeze to death, cats are very likely to suffer frostbite, especially on areas such as their ears, paws, and tails. The symptoms of frostbite vary depending on the severity, ranging from mild skin swelling to severe blisters, ulcers, and even tissue necrosis and infection.
4. Keeping cats outdoors in winter makes them more susceptible to parasites. When cats are outdoors, they may come into contact with plants containing pesticides or poisonous plants, which can pose a threat to their health. Furthermore, the outdoor environment increases the risk of parasites and insect bites, especially heartworm, which has an extremely high infection rate and is potentially fatal.
5. Keeping cats outdoors in winter may lead to them getting lost. Due to their lively nature, cats may escape when unattended, and cats without owners are easily captured and sold by unscrupulous vendors.
