In a domesticated environment, if the male and female cats are a couple and there are no other male cats to interfere, the male cat may recognize his kittens because they live together and participate in parenting activities.
However, if there are other male cats in the environment, or if the father cat is not consistently involved in raising the kittens, it may not be able to recognize its own kittens.
