Why would a cat jump off a tall building?
1. Cats in heat are more irritable than usual, and when they see a male they like, they may jump down without hesitation.
2. The cat was chasing flying insects and other creatures, and got so engrossed in the chase and play that it accidentally jumped off a tall building.
3. Cats may also jump from tall buildings if they misjudge the height.
4. The cat is in heat. During heat, the cat's temperament is irritable and difficult to control.
5. Cats naturally like high places and will often climb to high places.
Why are cats unharmed after falling from a height?
1. Cats have a strong ability to stretch and contract. When a cat falls, it will stretch its limbs outwards like a parachute, which can slow down its descent.
2. Cats are very flexible. Their flexible bodies and light weight allow them to land safely when falling from heights.
3. Well-developed balance system. Cats twirl their tails as they fall, and their front toes are ready to strike as they approach the ground.
4. A robust protective mechanism. Cats have thick pads on their toes, which greatly reduce the impact of their bodies hitting the ground, providing excellent cushioning.
