Cats have feelings too. If you beat them frequently, they will naturally feel scared and fearful. So, to avoid being beaten, cats will stay far away from their owners, gradually becoming unwilling to be close to people, and may even deliberately defecate indiscriminately.
If you frequently hit your cat, it will start to hold a grudge. Cats are very sensitive. They may not care about being hit once or twice, but over time they will see you as an enemy and gradually stop being affectionate towards you. 
Moreover, if you hit them too often, they will think that this is the way to solve problems. They will also develop an irritable and easily angered personality and become very aggressive. They will slash anyone who gets close to them in the future.
If you really have to hit it, you can roll up a newspaper into a tube and gently tap it, but it's best not to hit it. You can put some water in a spray bottle and spray it when it makes a mistake. This will create a conditioned reflex, and it won't do it again.
