How to make your cat less afraid of bath time
1. Prepare in advance: Before bathing your cat, be sure to prepare various items, including hot water, cold water, shampoo, comb, etc.
2. Do not wash immediately after the cat enters the water. Instead, comfort the cat first. Wait until the cat has calmed down before slowly starting to wash its hands, gradually increasing the intensity of the movements.
3. Keep your cat's vital areas dry. Certain parts of a cat's body should not get wet, such as its eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. If water gets in these areas, your cat will definitely become aggressive.
4. Comfort and talk to the kitten while washing it. Whether scrubbing or rinsing, be gentle to avoid irritating its eyes or choking its nose.
5. In short, before the first bath, the owner should rehearse the procedure, adhering to the principles of gentleness and speed, so that the kitten has a pleasant experience and at least feels no threat.
6. Trim your cat's nails before bathing. Wear cleaning gloves to prevent scratches. Close the bathroom door and confine your cat to the bathtub, large bucket, or corner to prevent it from running away.
7. Use pet-specific shampoo with a low-foaming formula to bathe your cat. This will make rinsing easier and shorten bath time.
