How to care for your cat when moving:
1. Cats usually experience stress when they arrive at a new home and need about 4-5 days to adjust. After arriving, provide your cat with a quiet and comfortable environment. Don't disturb it to help it lower its guard. After a day or two, you can use food to lure it or use a cat toy to increase interaction.
2. Keep your cat's food bowl and litter box in the same place for a while, and don't move them unnecessarily to prevent the cat from getting lost. You can also play with your cat using some toys to help it relax and unwind.
3. If a cat keeps meowing after arriving in a new environment, it may be expressing its unfamiliarity and fear of the new surroundings. When moving it to a new home, you can bring some of its old belongings, such as its toys and food bowl.
4. Owners can pet and play with their cats more often to help them get used to the environment as quickly as possible.
What to do if your cat goes missing after moving:
1. First, search the house. The cat may just be sleeping in a corner. Be patient and quiet and search every corner of the house first, because it may not have run away from home, but is just hiding in a corner and does not want to come out.
2. Search your building from top to bottom. Cats like to climb high and low, so rooftop water tanks and basement trash cans could be hiding places for them.
3. Search the surrounding area that night, calling the cat's name softly. It may be trapped and unable to get out. It will respond when it hears its owner's voice.
