Adverse symptoms in cats after vaccination mainly include lethargy, loss of appetite, drowsiness, mild vomiting and diarrhea, and pain at the injection site. Some kittens may experience allergic reactions, such as generalized itching and redness and swelling around the eyes. These symptoms usually disappear within 1-2 days. If they persist for more than three days, the cat should be taken to a veterinary hospital immediately.
Precautions for vaccinating cats:
1. Make sure your kitten is in perfect health before administering any vaccinations. If it becomes sick, the vaccination should be postponed.
2. Cats should not be bathed immediately after vaccination. Because their resistance is relatively weak after vaccination, it is best to wait a week or half a month before bathing them to avoid them getting cold or frightened and becoming sick.
3. Pay attention to feeding your cat after vaccination. Cats may experience a loss of appetite after vaccination. Do not force your cat to eat during this period. Give your cat time to adjust and recover. Do not feed your cat overly greasy food at this time.
