It's best to vaccinate kittens 2-3 months after birth. Generally, the initial immunization requires three consecutive doses of the feline triple vaccine, with each dose spaced about 20 days apart. After completing the three-dose vaccine, an antibody test can be performed three weeks later to determine if the antibody levels have reached the required level. If so, a rabies vaccine can be administered. Healthy kittens can receive the rabies vaccine after 3 months of age. It's important to note that there should be at least a one-week interval between the rabies and triple vaccine doses. From the second year onwards, booster immunizations are given, consisting of one dose each of the triple vaccine and the rabies vaccine.
Precautions for vaccinating kittens:
1. Cats may experience stress when they are first brought home. In this case, do not vaccinate them immediately. Let the cat adapt for a period of time before vaccination.
2. When choosing to vaccinate your cat, remember to choose a professional and designated veterinary hospital, follow the doctor's instructions and arrangements for vaccination, and also remember to keep your cat's vaccination records.
3. Do not bathe or take your cat outside for a week after vaccination to avoid infection.
