Solution to cat's bad breath:
1. Clean your cat's mouth regularly to reduce the time food residue stays in their mouth and prevent bacterial growth. It's best to choose a toothbrush with a small head so it can reach deep into the cat's mouth for cleaning.
2. You can feed your cat some breath-freshening cat treats, chew sticks, or encourage your cat to drink more water.
3. Gently open the kitten's mouth with your hand to observe if its oral cavity is red. If you find any abnormalities, it is recommended to take it to a veterinary hospital for examination to check for stomatitis.
4. It is best to feed your cat some liquid food, such as chicken porridge, fish soup, or lean meat porridge, which is easy for your cat to digest and absorb.
Reasons for kittens having bad breath:
1. The main cause of bad breath in cats is tartar buildup, which manifests as spots on the cat's teeth and a very unpleasant odor when exhaling.
2. Indigestion. Some kittens suffer from indigestion, which causes the intestines to secrete gases. These gases are then expelled through the mouth, resulting in bad breath.
3. Oral infections. Frequently feeding cats canned food, wet food pouches, or soaked cat food can easily lead to tooth decay. Food residue around the teeth forms plaque, which can develop into periodontitis in severe cases.
