Simply feeding your Ragdoll cat according to its weight and the cat food instructions will prevent soft stools. However, overfeeding can cause soft stools because Ragdolls cannot digest and absorb excess nutrients. These nutrients are fermented by microorganisms in the large intestine. Therefore, if your Ragdoll has soft stools, reduce its food intake. Additionally, be aware that internal parasites can also cause these symptoms in Ragdolls; regular deworming is recommended.
How to deal with soft stools in Ragdoll cats:
1. You can change some of the Ragdoll cat's food appropriately, such as switching to other organic cat food as its main food. In addition, you can also prepare soft and delicious meat porridge, millet porridge, fish soup and other foods for the Ragdoll cat to eat.
2. Soft stools in Ragdoll cats may also be due to a lack of beneficial bacteria in their intestines, which can lead to indigestion. Cat owners can take appropriate measures, such as supplementing their cats with beneficial bacteria to improve intestinal motility and make their stools easier to form.
3. Intestinal parasites in Ragdoll cats can also cause them to have loose stools or even vomit. Check the cat's stool promptly. If you find white worm eggs or worms, you should deworm the cat immediately. You can give the cat the appropriate deworming medication after confirming that there are worms.
