Cats can eat small amounts of mangosteen, as it is not toxic to them. Mangosteen is highly nutritious, containing abundant vitamins, dietary fiber, and trace elements. The dietary fiber in mangosteen can help prevent constipation in cats. However, mangosteen has a high sugar content, and eating too much can easily cause diarrhea and other discomfort in cats. It is not recommended for cats with weak gastrointestinal systems. Finally, always remove the seed before feeding mangosteen to your cat to prevent it from getting stuck in their throat or causing poisoning.
Foods that cats cannot eat:
1. Grapes, raisins, wine
Grapes can cause kidney failure in cats, so it's important to be careful and prevent your cat from eating grapes or grape products, such as raisins and wine.
2. Onions
Onions can damage a cat's red blood cells, so it's best to avoid feeding cats onions or products made with onions. Garlic should also be avoided.
3. Dairy products
Most cats cannot digest the lactose in milk, and drinking it may cause indigestion, diarrhea, or other digestive problems. Therefore, it's best to avoid giving cats milk. If your cat really loves milk, you can try giving them lactose-free milk.
4. Seafood
Cats may be allergic to some types of seafood, which can lead to diarrhea or even more serious poisoning. Therefore, you should be careful when feeding your cat seafood and try to give it to them as little as possible.
5. Alcoholic beverages
Alcohol can affect a cat's brain and nervous system, and even small amounts can cause irreversible damage.
6. Raw meat and raw eggs
Some raw meat and eggs contain bacteria and parasites, and it is not recommended to feed them directly to cats.
