Possible reasons why a new kitten keeps meowing:
1. When a cat is hungry or thirsty, it will meow continuously to remind its owner to add food.
2. Stress-induced meowing: Because it is timid and highly vigilant, being separated from its mother and placed in an unfamiliar environment will make it uneasy and cause it to meow loudly in anxiety.
3. Caused by illness: The cat may be suffering from some illness, causing it to cry out in pain.
4. Feeling bored: The cat may be very bored and want to attract its owner's attention so that the owner can play with it.
How to stop a new kitten from meowing:
1. Prepare a comfortable and secluded nest.
Kittens become afraid when separated from their mothers. You should prepare a safe nest for your kitten so that it has a secluded place to hide when it is scared.
2. Spend as much time as possible with it.
Spend more time with it and pet it. As it gets used to you, it will become very well-behaved and willing to be close to you.
3. Feed them some treats to break the ice between you.
Kittens are very greedy, so you can feed them some pet treats to help them get used to your scent. Once they're full and satisfied, they'll sleep peacefully. They can usually live independently after about a week.
