Why cats like to sleep with their owners
1. Seeking a sense of security: Typically, cats don't sleep for more than half an hour at a time because they are so vulnerable and have to guard against predators while sleeping. Therefore, cats rarely feel safe while sleeping. Sleeping with their owners provides them with a sense of protection. 3. Marking territory: Cats may like to sleep with their owners because they leave their scent on them. When cats smell the familiar scent on their owners, they feel safe and secure by their side, and naturally, they like to sleep with their owners. Usually, if a cat marks its owner with its scent, it will feel that the owner belongs to it, so it likes to stick close to its owner no matter what it does, which is one of the reasons why cats are clingy.
4. Cat is sick: If your cat doesn't usually sleep with you, but recently starts snuggling into your bed, it could be a sign that your cat is sick. One of the most obvious symptoms of a sick cat is abnormal behavior; while trying to mask its discomfort, the cat will exhibit behaviors that are inconsistent with its usual behavior.
