Why do cats like to drink foot bath water?
There are many reasons why cats like to drink foot bath water, including curiosity, sensitivity to the smell and taste of the water, and as an emergency choice when thirsty.
First, cats are naturally curious and very sensitive to any new changes in their environment. As a sudden source of water, foot bath water will naturally attract their attention. They might approach to sniff it, or even tentatively touch it with their paws, eventually discovering that it's drinkable. 
Secondly, foot bath water may contain sweat and microorganisms from human feet, and these odors and smells are very attractive to cats. Cats have an extremely sensitive sense of smell; they can perceive a lot of information through scent that we humans cannot. Therefore, the special smell of foot bath water may make cats perceive it as a "fresh" water source, thus stimulating their appetite.
Finally, if a cat can't find other suitable water sources when thirsty, foot bath water might become their emergency option. This is especially true in summer or dry environments, where cats need more water to maintain their body's fluid balance. In such cases, any available water source might become their target, including foot bath water.
Of course, while cats might enjoy drinking from their paw bath water, this doesn't mean we should encourage this behavior. Paw bath water may contain bacteria or chemicals that are harmful to cats, so it's best to ensure your cat has access to clean, safe drinking water. Regularly cleaning your cat's water bowl and changing the water is also very important.
