If a cat isn't eating and seems lethargic, it's very likely that it's sick. A mother cat that has just been weaned may have mammary gland disease or uterine infection. The owner should check if the mother cat has symptoms such as breast swelling, inflammation, or lumps. If lumps are found in the mother cat's breasts, it's recommended to separate the mother cat from the kittens to prevent the kittens from sucking on the nipples and causing irritation, which would cause the mother cat to continue producing milk. Then, take the cat to the vet for examination as soon as possible.



If the cat's breasts appear normal, symptoms could be due to a uterine infection. It's recommended to check if the cat is frequently licking its vulva, or if there is discharge or a foul odor. Finally, the cat's loss of appetite and lethargy could also be caused by a cold, postpartum depression, or calcium deficiency. Since the cat hasn't eaten for two days, to avoid damaging its digestive system and other organs, it's advisable to take it to a veterinary hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible.
