Is it okay to keep a cat in a cage at night and let it roam freely during the day?
Cats love freedom, so it's best not to put them in cages, as this can cause them to exhibit symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and sensitivity.
Furthermore, cats are nocturnal animals and spend most of their time sleeping during the day. If cats are not allowed to move around at night, they are very likely to become obese, and their physical condition will decline significantly. 
As long as your cat can adapt to the cage, it's fine. Nowadays, pet cats have similar sleep and rest habits to humans. They also sleep and rest at night and don't need to do hunting and foraging. So, if it sleeps in the cage at night, it's just resting and doesn't make a fuss or cause any trouble, then there's no problem.
Cats usually sleep during the day and are active at night, but being kept in a cage like this restricts their activity and results in them not getting enough exercise each day.
