1. Overuse of the voice: Kittens that have just been separated from their mother cat are often nervous and scared, so they may cry incessantly. Excessive crying can damage their voices, causing them to lose their ability to cry. Some clingy cats may also exhibit this behavior after their owners leave. Pet owners should provide appropriate training to prevent separation anxiety in their cats.
2. If your cat has pharyngitis, tonsillitis, or other conditions, and it doesn't usually meow much but suddenly becomes hoarse, it may be due to a sore throat. It is recommended to take your cat to a veterinary hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
3. Respiratory infection: If your cat has symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, and runny nose, it may be due to a respiratory infection causing hoarseness. You should take your cat to the vet for a checkup as soon as possible.
