Can a new cat and an old cat live together?
1. Usually, two kittens can get along peacefully after living together for two weeks.
2. It may take about two weeks for an old cat to adapt to a new cat. The exact time depends on the cat's personality, and some cats may need more time.
3. When we bring a new cat home, we should not put it with the old cat immediately. We should separate them for about a week to allow them to gradually become familiar with each other's scent.
4. After a week, under the owner's supervision, the isolation time between the two cats can be gradually reduced to allow them to interact. 
5. Fights may occur between two cats, but this is a normal process of them getting to know and accept each other. After a while, they are usually able to live together peacefully.
6. Whether two cats can get along harmoniously, and how long it takes, largely depends on the personality of the original cat. Some cats may not accept other animals sharing their owner's affection, including toys, territory, and food.
7. If the fighting between the two cats continues and one of them becomes uncomfortable, and if the situation does not improve after 15 days of observation, it may be necessary to consider separating them.
8. To avoid fighting between the new and old cats, the following measures can be taken: place them in different rooms to ensure that each cat has its own space; the owner should give more attention to the old cat, such as food and toys, and meet the needs of the old cat first before considering the new cat, so as to reduce the old cat's jealousy; if the fight between the two cats is not intense, the owner usually does not need to intervene excessively, and the situation will naturally improve after they get used to each other.
