How to dry a cat after a bath?
Although many people think that cats don't need to be bathed, regular bathing is still a choice for many owners. So, you should be careful because cats are afraid of water. After bathing, we should try to dry them as much as possible and blow-dry them properly.
After bathing, gently pat the surface of the cat dry with a large towel, the more the better, as this will reduce the time spent using a hairdryer. Then, apply non-steroidal antibiotic eye drops to the cat's eyes to prevent discomfort. Next, inject ear cleaning solution into the cat's ears and massage the ear canals. Then, let the cat shake its head. Finally, wipe the outside of the ears with tissue paper to prevent ear discomfort.
Finally, cover the cat's head with a towel and start using a hairdryer to dry the back half of its body. Use a slow, warm airflow, and ideally comb the hair while you blow-dry. Then gradually dry the head, using plenty of tissue paper to dry it. After that, put the cat in its cage and turn on the heater, letting it clean itself. As an aside, it's best to trim the cat's nails before bathing to avoid injury. Keep the entire bathing process quiet.
When choosing a hair dryer, it's best to buy one with negative ions. It's quiet, dries quickly, and prevents static electricity from forming on the fur. If you're willing to pay more, a professional pet drying box is also a good option. However, remember that you get what you pay for. The temperature control in these machines is crucial. Spend a little more money on a reputable brand to avoid irreparable damage from overheating. Also, pay close attention to your cat's reaction throughout the drying process and open the box door to brush their fur periodically.
