Why do cats like to lick plastic bags?
1. Cats may exhibit pica, such as eating plastic bags, due to a deficiency in trace elements. To address this, consider supplementing the cat's diet with nutrients, such as children's multivitamins or children's supplements like Centrum or Babibao.
2. Hairballs in a cat's stomach may be formed from ingesting hair. To prevent hairball buildup, you can feed your cat cat food specifically formulated to help them expel hairballs, or use hairball remedy. In the summer, you can also provide your cat with fresh foxtail grass leaves to help them expel hair naturally. 
3. Cats may eat plastic bags out of curiosity or excitement at the sound they make. This behavior is natural for cats. To prevent cats from coming into contact with plastic bags, ensure that plastic bags in the home are properly stored to prevent cats from accidentally ingesting them while playing.
4. Plastic bags may contain chemicals that are attractive to cats. These chemicals may emit a fragrance that is appealing to animals with a sensitive sense of smell. Just as humans feel hungry when they smell the aroma of cake, cats may be attracted to these chemicals and eat the plastic bags.
