At what age can a kitten receive vaccines?
Kittens are vaccinated between 9 and 12 weeks of age to develop immunity. There are two types of vaccines for felines: routine and non-routine. Routine vaccines are suitable for all cats.
For routine vaccinations, kittens can receive their first injection three months after birth, provided they are completely healthy. Subsequent booster injections are given annually. To prevent the vaccine from expiring, it can be administered one month in advance of the following year.
Unconventional vaccines generally only require one injection. It should also be noted that rabies vaccines usually only require one injection, and no further injections are needed after the second year, provided the cat lives indoors and has no opportunity to interact with the outside world.
