Does toilet water affect cats?
Cats are very afraid of floral water (or mosquito repellent). They will react strongly to the smell and try to escape because floral water contains alcohol, borneol, menthol, and other ingredients that are highly irritating to cats. If a cat accidentally licks floral water, it can cause alcohol poisoning in severe cases. Therefore, you should avoid using floral water and mosquito repellent when keeping cats.
Toilet water can affect cats. It contains cooling ingredients like menthol and camphor, which not only fail to improve local inflammation but may even cause contact dermatitis and affect a cat's sense of smell. Furthermore, toilet water contains large amounts of alcohol, fragrances, and essential oils, making it mildly toxic. If sprayed on a cat and licked, it can cause poisoning reactions such as diarrhea, vomiting, and general discomfort.
