The Birman cat is not a Ragdoll cat. Originating in Myanmar, the Birman is also known as the Sacred Cat of Myanmar. Originally kept by monks in ancient Burmese temples as guardian cats, it was introduced to Europe in the 18th century and gradually evolved into its current form. The Birman has a relatively long body, with a predominantly light golden coat, a narrow face, and contrasting colors between its face, ears, head, and tail. It also has mitted paws and distinctive blue jewel-like eyes.

Ragdoll cats originated in the United States and are also known as Ragdoll cats. They are the largest and heaviest breed of cat, bred by Amber Heard, a woman from California. They have a V-shaped head, large round eyes, a particularly large body, thick limbs, a long tail, and are covered in abundant fur, often in tricolor or bicolor.
