Do cats need blankets in winter?
1. Generally, healthy adult cats do not need blankets to sleep; they can regulate their body temperature and keep warm on their own. However, when the indoor temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius, it is best to cover kittens with blankets; when the temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius, adult cats also need blankets to keep warm. In addition, avoid drafts in the cat bed and keep the room windows closed as much as possible.
2. In some cases, cats need to be covered with a blanket while sleeping. For example, when a cat is sick, you can cover it with a blanket to prevent it from getting cold, but the blanket should not be too thick to avoid making the cat uncomfortable. In addition, be sure to regularly air out the cat's blankets and blankets to effectively kill bacteria and ensure the cat's health.
3. Newborn kittens have weak immune systems and require extra care from their owners, such as covering them with a blanket or quilt; if the mother cat is nearby, she should also be kept warm.
4. Cats that are currently receiving vaccinations or have just received vaccinations less than a week ago have very weak immune systems and are prone to catching colds and getting sick, so they need to be kept warmer than usual.
