Cats should not eat cherries. Firstly, cherry flesh contains cyanide, and cats, being generally small, are highly susceptible to toxic doses, which can lead to serious symptoms such as shock.
Secondly, if you discover that your cat has accidentally swallowed a cherry, you should immediately induce vomiting and take it to a veterinary hospital for further treatment as soon as possible. Thirdly, it is not recommended to feed cats fruit; you can usually feed them common vegetables such as Chinese cabbage.
