Kittens aged 1-2 months have just begun to grow their baby teeth and therefore do not need to chew on them. They typically start losing their baby teeth around 3-4 months, although some kittens may not start until after 6 months. Permanent teeth grow faster, and if kittens do not have adequate opportunities to chew on them, their teeth may develop abnormalities and deformities.

Grinding teeth can keep them cleaner and prevent them from chewing on furniture. If teeth are not ground for a long time, they may bite people or damage furniture. You can use a teething stick to help them grind their teeth on their own.
