Cats are very sensitive to temperature; they prefer warm environments to cold ones. This is because a cat's normal body temperature is slightly higher than a human's, ranging from approximately 38.3°C to 39.0°C, meaning they may be more tolerant of high temperatures than humans.

In cold weather, cats will seek out warm places, such as sunny spots, near heaters, or cozy beds. They may curl up into a ball to reduce their surface area and conserve body heat.
