Dogs can eat small amounts of canned cat food without much problem. However, if the canned cat food is severely spoiled, it is not recommended to feed it to dogs.
If your dog vomits or has diarrhea after eating canned cat food, it's recommended to give it pet-specific anti-inflammatory medication to fight bacteria and inflammation. Simultaneously, administer an absorbent antidiarrheal medication and probiotics to help restore its gastrointestinal function. If the dog's symptoms are severe, it's advisable to take it to a veterinary hospital to rule out parvovirus and coronavirus infections.
