Where have all the stray cats gone? It's cold outside.
1. There are several reasons why we rarely see stray cats in winter. First, to avoid the cold, cats seek refuge in narrow spaces such as stone pipes, and they usually only come out to enjoy the sunshine on sunny days.
2. Kittens have weaker immune systems and are particularly vulnerable to frostbite in the harsh winter, with some even succumbing to it. At the same time, many stray cats find warm homes thanks to the kindness of those who take them in.
3. Winter is a huge challenge for stray cats. Although they have thick fur, it is still difficult for them to withstand the cold. Food is scarce and it is difficult to maintain body temperature, which causes many stray cats to not survive until spring.
4. During the cold season, stray cats typically seek shelter in rocky pipes or other crevices to spend the winter. They only come out to bask in the sun on sunny days to store up energy for the night. Stray cats lacking warmth may freeze to death.
5. In addition, some stray cats may hide in building corridors or people's storage rooms. If you find a stray cat suddenly entering your home, please don't chase them away. Providing them with some food to help them get through the cold winter is a kind act of kindness towards these homeless little lives.
