Why cats smell people's noses
Cats have olfactory mucous membranes inside their noses, allowing them to smell odors that humans cannot or do not smell. While humans use their nasal cavity for breathing, airflow can alert cats to any abnormalities in the vicinity of their nose. Cats use their sense of smell to check for anything unusual around their owners, which is also a friendly and healthy form of interaction between cats and their owners.
What are some signs that a cat recognizes its owner?
1. Obedience: Unlike dogs, cats don't obey humans. They are generally independent, have their own thoughts, and won't obediently follow orders. However, if your cat does whatever you tell it to do and absolutely refuses to do anything you forbid, showing absolute obedience, it means it considers you its owner.
2. When a cat licks you, it can mean many things, such as bathing you, relieving anxiety, marking its scent, or expressing affection. In fact, it's all because it loves and trusts you that it likes to lick you, which is also a way of showing that it considers you its owner.
