Feline triple vaccine does not need to be administered annually. If your cat stays indoors most of the time, annual vaccination is generally not necessary. However, you can have your cat's antibody levels checked annually to determine if triple vaccination is required based on antibody strength. If antibody levels are sufficient, vaccination is unnecessary. If you frequently take your cat outside, annual vaccination is recommended to strengthen your cat's immune system and better protect their health.
How often should feline triple vaccine be administered?
The feline triple vaccine is typically administered every 21-28 days. Kittens can usually be vaccinated as early as two months old. Kittens receiving their first vaccination require three doses. Before vaccination, ensure the kitten is completely healthy. Observe the kitten for half an hour after vaccination; if no abnormalities are observed within that time, it can be taken home. The final dose of the feline triple vaccine can be given together with the rabies vaccine. If the kitten is receiving the feline triple vaccine for the second year, it needs to be given again 11 months after the last dose in the first year.
