Bathing a cat every 10 days is too frequent. Generally, a cat only needs to be bathed once a month, and in winter, even once every three months. This is because a cat's skin contains an oily substance that protects it from external bacteria. Frequent bathing will damage this protective layer, making the cat more susceptible to weakened immunity and skin diseases. Furthermore, cats are clean animals with a natural self-cleaning ability, so they don't need frequent bathing.
Cat bathing precautions:
1. Do not bathe the cat when you first bring it home. This is when the cat's stress response is strongest, and bathing it at this time can easily cause stress and increase its stress.
2. Do not wash your cat immediately after vaccination, as vaccination can temporarily lower your cat's immunity.
3. When washing your cat, do not blindly use so-called cat washing gadgets. Those things can harm your cat, and more importantly, they will scare it.
4. Generally, when washing a cat, start from the back of the head, neck, back and tail, abdomen, and limbs. Be quick and gentle. Also, be careful not to get water into the cat's eyes and ears. You can try stuffing some cotton wool into the cat's ears and then removing it after washing.
