How to bathe your cat quietly
1. Before bathing your cat, be sure to trim its nails and sharpen its claws to avoid serious scratches during the bath. Secondly, if your cat has a history of biting, it is best to prepare an Elizabethan collar to prevent your cat from biting you.
2. Prepare cat-specific shampoo, your cat's favorite treats, a blanket to wrap your cat's entire body, and a silent hair dryer. If possible, also prepare a special bath cage to prevent your cat from running around.
3. Place the cat in an open area of the bathroom. Never put the cat in a basin, as the confined space will make the cat very nervous. Then prepare a shower, turning the water temperature up a bit, because a cat's body temperature is higher than a human's, and if the temperature is too low, the cat is very likely to catch a cold.
4. Be careful not to get water in the ears and nose, as water in these areas will make the cat very uncomfortable and thus resist bathing. If the ears are too dirty, you can use ear cleaning solution to clean them separately later. If the head is dirty, you can use a damp towel to wipe it clean.
5. If your cat struggles during a bath, you can hold the back of its neck with one hand to calm it down, then scratch its head and chin to soothe it. Usually, if a cat struggles a lot, it's because water has gotten into its nose. Be careful not to splash too much water on the cat's face.
6. After washing, dry the cat's fur. After washing the cat, be sure to use a large blanket to wipe off the water droplets on the cat's body and dry its fur in time to prevent the cat from catching a cold.
