Treatment for ringworm in cats
1. Immediate isolation is necessary. Ringworm is a fungal infection that can be transmitted to both humans and cats. Therefore, owners should avoid close contact with cats that have ringworm and wash their hands frequently.
2. Locate the ringworm. Scabbing and hair loss are common symptoms of ringworm and are easy to find. Ringworm will appear green when the cat is illuminated with a Wood's lamp.
3. Shave the fur around the ringworm area. This will make applying the medication easier. Before applying the medication, soften the scabs with ointment and then thoroughly clean the area with saline solution. 
4. Apply hydrochloric acid or terbinafine spray to the affected area of the cat's ringworm 3 to 5 times a day. Remember to put an Elizabethan collar on the cat to prevent it from licking the ringworm.
5. Medicated bath: If the cat's ringworm is too severe, medicated baths and oral medication may be necessary for treatment.
6. Get plenty of sunshine. Fighting ringworm is a long-term battle, so be prepared. Make sure your cat gets plenty of sunshine, as it's very effective for treatment. Also, supplement their diet with vitamin B regularly.
