Why does my cat keep meowing?
Generally speaking, there are three reasons why a cat meows.
The first reason is that the cat is in heat, and the courtship behavior causes it to howl continuously. This howling can last for several days. Once the cat's mating season ends and its hormone levels return to normal, the howling will stop. If the cat has already been spayed/neutered but is still howling, it could be because the surgery wasn't performed properly. In this case, it's advisable to take the cat to the vet to determine the specific cause.
The second possibility is that the cat may be feeling unwell or in pain, so it keeps meowing to attract attention and get help.
The third possibility is that the cat wants to be close to its owner and doesn't want the owner to leave, so it keeps meowing.
