Do cats have feelings for their owners?
Cats do have feelings for their owners, and their dependence and trust are no less than that of dogs. However, cats are not good at expressing their feelings for their owners, and because of our subjective perception, we may not realize that cats are expressing their affection for their owners through certain behaviors. Therefore, many people define cats as ungrateful wretches who cannot be tamed.
Even so, some people say that dogs are closer to humans than cats. Let me tell you, that's not entirely true. Dogs are more affectionate towards people than cats because the two animals have different habits. Dogs are enthusiastic towards people and will like you. They'll jump up and want you to hug them, they'll be affectionate, and if you ignore them, they'll still try to get close. Cats express affection in a more refined way; they won't jump up excitedly like dogs, nor will they be as enthusiastic and clingy as dogs. 
Cats' proud and aloof nature makes it difficult for humans to see their emotions, but they really do have feelings. It's just that they are not very dependent on humans, and their methods are a bit clumsy.
For example, a dog might rub its head against your hand or foot, wanting you to hug and pet it; it might like to sleep on you, making snoring noises; it might play with its belly up; and it might stare at its owner with its big, watery eyes. These behaviors all stem from a close relationship with its owner.
Also, it will share its favorite food or toys with you. I believe all cat owners have experienced this. For example, there will often be a rope or cat toy that it brought to your bed. Or, a cat that often goes out will bring you back a delicious "mouse" or "bird".
While these items may be offensive or frightening to humans, they are extremely precious to cats.
Cats are actually very cautious animals with a strong sense of wariness. Only when they completely trust their owner will they express their emotions without reservation, actively seek your protection, and play with you without any reservations. Therefore, please stop misunderstanding cats; they are also adorable creatures that need our protection.
